Saint Cecilia’s Concert Band

Saint Cecilia’s Concert Band

As a music specialist school, Saint Cecilia’s places a real emphasis on music, both in the classroom and through the extra-curricular opportunities it provides. Talented musicians are nurtured and developed, to become the musicians of future generations. All pupils are given opportunities to develop their musical skills, whether classically or in a more modern genre.

Our musical alumni are numerous, and many are now working in the music industry as artists, producers, engineers, musicians and educators. We are proud to send many students to the top musical conservatoires and university music courses each year.

Saint Cecilia’s concert band has been running in its current form for the last seven years’, and has developed into the foremost ensemble in the school. The band comprises of musicians from Year 7 to 13 and pupils of all standards, from Grade 1 to Diploma standard. Despite the differences in age and standard, the band come together as a cohesive ensemble, performing to an incredibly high standard.
